Planning Your Inventory
Certainly! If you had used the DIY survey option previously, simply log in to your account to access your inventory list and make changes to your inventory selection. If you had opted for the video/on-site survey, please reach out to your assigned move manager to update your inventory list. However, for the purpose of accurate billing, you are free to update your inventory up until one (1) week prior to your move.
Aside from the furniture and electrical appliances, most of your belongings would need to be packed into boxes for protection during transportation. Estimating the number of boxes you would require can be tricky as this would depend on your lifestyle and the composition of your family, for example, if you have kids.
Here are some basic guidelines to help you decide on the number of boxes you may need for your move:
- How many bedrooms are there in your current home?
- What kind of lifestyle do you live? (i.e. minimalist, modest or ornate)
Our suggestion is calculated based on a modest lifestyle for a standard move. Feel free to add/remove the boxes as you deem necessary. We have also included a box guide to help you with your planning.
No, the boxes are provided for you as part of your quotation. Your assigned move manager will coordinate with you for the delivery of boxes to your home so that you may pack some of your items beforehand.
Yes, all boxes packed by our movers will be labelled and checked against your inventory list.
We do not encourage doing so, as these are items of high sentimental value. To prevent your valuables from getting damaged or lost during the moving process, we recommend that you request for specialty treatment for packing of these items for peace of mind.
Items that are indicated to be fragile will be packed with specific purpose-built materials for maximum protection. Please do communicate and coordinate this with your movers on the move day. You may also choose to indicate this on the comments section of the the move plan on our Moovaz platform.
